The Handelsblatt newspaper published a list of the fastest-growing German SMEs of 2025 on October 13, 2025. The BMP Group has achieved a successful 61st place ranking.
In 1988, Mr Nau successfully completed his training in wholesale and foreign trade. Several years of work abroad in Mexico, the US and Singapore for Haarmann & Reimer GmbH, a former Bayer AG subsidiary (now Symrise AG), followed his training in Hamburg.
In July 2000, he joined BMP GmbH, where he has been Managing Director since January 2004. In October 2008, he was appointed Managing Director of the newly founded BMP Biotec GmbH, followed by his appointment to the Management Board of BMP Pharma Trading AG in July 2012. On the Management Board of BMP Pharma Trading AG, Mr Nau is responsible for the trading business and quality assurance.
Mr Nau is best known for his network in the pharmaceutical and food industries, created over the course of 20 years, a sense for new trends in the markets and last but not least for continuity and sustainability.
Since 17 June 2021, Mr Nau has been the Chief Executive Officer of BMP Pharma Trading AG.
Born in 1959, Peter Rudolf Wieland holds a degree in the field of business administration. His professional focus includes finance and accounting, as well as controlling. He has several years of experience at the management level in an international environment.
Since December 2008, Mr Wieland has been the commercial managing director of
B.M.P., Bulk Medicines & Pharmaceuticals GmbH.
Starting 19 July 2021, Mr Wieland became Chief Financial Officer of BMP Pharma Trading AG.
Mr. Schellmann studied business administration at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar near Koblenz and graduated with a degree in business administration.
During his five-year tenure as an assistant and audit manager at his father’s firm—run by certified public accountant and tax consultant Dipl.-Kfm. Johannes Schellmann—Mr. Schellmann simultaneously earned his Ph.D. in Political Science (Dr. rer. pol.) from WHU.
After another year, he was licensed as a tax consultant and joined his father’s practice as a silent partner. In 2000, Mr. Schellmann was licensed as a certified public accountant and finally took over his father’s practice in 2006.

Mr Breme, born in 1964, has more than 35 years’ professional experience in commercial and sales management roles. He has worked at Siemens Finance & Leasing since 1992, most recently as a Key Account Manager. In his various management roles, he was responsible for establishing and developing sales organisations, managing key accounts across a range of industries, and leading teams of up to 20 staff. He also has extensive experience in the areas of digitalisation, strategic partnerships and training.
In July 2026, Mr Breme took up the role of Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board at BMP Pharma Trading.
