History

November 1979: Foundation of B.M.P. Bulk Medicines & Pharmaceuticals GmbH in Hamburg-Duvenstedt. With just a handful of employees he began to merchandise pharmaceutical raw materials worldwide

June 1981: Experienced product specialists were hired and departments were set up for the specific countries all of which required a bigger office in Hamburg-Barmbek.

August 1989: The vast growth of international trading coupled with the continuously rising requirements of a global market called for reliable service as well as the provision and distribution of goods. The right piece of land has been found in Hamburg-Farmsen and after having built the own corporate headquarter with an integrated 600 m² warehouse, we finally moved our office in August.

December 1993: Foundation of bmp production gmbh initially in Hamburg

February 1995: Completion of the production site in Parchim, relocation of the offices of bmp production gmbh to Parchim. Start-up of the first micronisation machinery

January 1998: Foundation of the joint-stock company B.M.P. Pharma Trading AG

April 2000: Going public of the B.M.P. Pharma Trading AG. 28th of April was the first listing day of the open stock market at Stuttgart.

September 2002: Foundation of the B.M.P. Pharma Trading Corporation in Nashville/ Tennessee.

October 2003: Moving office after completion of the own current corporate headquarter in Hamburg-Norderstedt with an integrated 2.400 m² warehouse.

January 2004: Nomination of Henning A. Nau as 2nd Managing Director of B.M.P. Bulk Medicines & Pharmaceuticals GmbH

April 2004: A quality management system was set up at BMP at the end of 2003, which was certified at the beginning of 2004 in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.

December 2006: The Pharmaceuticals Monitoring Board responsible in Schleswig Holstein confirmed BMP’s GMP-compliance by granting us a Manufacturing License in accordance with Section 13, AMG, as well as an Import Licence in accordance with Section 72, Pharmaceuticals Law.

October 2008: Foundation of BMP Biotec GmbH in Hamburg-Norderstedt with Henning A. Nau as Managing Director. Renowned scientists in the disciplines of chemistry, biology and chemical engineering working on the development and production of biotechnologically derived active ingredients.

December 2008: Nomination of Peter R. Wieland as commercial Managing Director of B.M.P. Bulk Medicines & Pharmaceuticals GmbH
